This isn’t just therapy. It’s a call to something deeper.
A quiet pull from within—the sense that there’s more to your life than what you’ve been living. That healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken, but about rediscovering what’s been buried. That growth can be soulful, embodied, even wild
About Me
I’m Dr. Kurt Youngberg, a licensed psychotherapist (Georgia and Utah) with advanced training in depth (Jungian) psychology, ecopsychology, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. For over 15 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of traditional clinical practice and transformative experiences, helping individuals navigate life’s complexities with curiosity, resilience, and courage. My background spans private practice, wilderness therapy, therapeutic boarding schools, and integrative retreats nationally and internationally —offering a unique blend of evidence-based care and experiential wisdom.
Clients come to me when the old ways of coping no longer serve, when something within them is aching to shift. Whether the work involves untangling long-held patterns, confronting existential questions, or seeking a deeper sense of meaning, I support the unfolding with presence, precision, and respect for the full human experience.
From here, the path can take many forms.
Individual psychotherapy.
- Wilderness excursions that reawaken the body and spirit.
- Psychedelic preparation and integration.
- Retreats and rites of passage grounded in ecopsychology and soul work.
Each of these is a doorway. And beyond each, a life that feels more alive, more true, and more deeply your own.
My specialties include: Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Grief/Loss, Interpersonal Relations, Spirituality and Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy
About Apraxis Center
Traditional Therapy & Experiential Adventure Based Therapy Excursions
Apraxis Center is a therapeutic collective I created out of a deep need—for community, for collaboration, and for a shared worldview around healing. It began as a vision for something more than a private practice: a living, breathing ecology of therapists committed to both traditional psychotherapy and experiential, nature/adventure-based care. We place relationality at the heart of our work, knowing that well-being arises through connection—to self, others, nature, and community. Through an integrative model of care, Apraxis supports individuals and groups in finding meaning, resilience, and belonging.
Our services include…

My Lens
I see psychological well-being as deeply ecological—shaped by the environments we live in and the relationships we inhabit. Our inner lives don’t exist in a vacuum; they are constantly shaped by our connection (or disconnection) with others, with nature, with culture, and even with the technologies we use every day.
Through this lens, therapy becomes a space to explore how your ways of seeing, knowing, and being in the world have been shaped by these forces. Together, we examine the relationships—personal, social, environmental, and systemic—that either nourish your growth or contribute to distress. From this wider view, healing becomes not just an internal process, but a reconnection to the living world around you
